A very exciting year 2024 to you! Welcome back to Shiny Happy People podcast and here’s kick-starting the new year with a first – our guest today is the first ever medical doctor to come on our podcast yet, who combines his medical brilliance with an entrepreneurial grit to bring to India, one of the most exciting offerings in healthcare in recent years.

Meet Dhruv Joshi, MD, co-founder and CEO of Cloudphysician, a healthcare company that provides technology enabled remote ICU management solutions to hospitals. A graduate of St. Johnʼs Medical College, Bengaluru , Dhruv has specialized in Internal medicine and Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He's worked at the Cleveland CLinic, USA. Having received pulmonary and critical care training in the US, and remotely providing care to hospitals in the US, Dhruv’s extensive experience in both resource rich and resource limited hospitals across India and the US, gives him a deep understanding of the problem of inequitable healthcare delivery.

This insight and an ardent desire to address this inequity led him to start Cloudphysician which is solving this problem in the only scalable manner; via technology and innovation. Cloudphysician has supported over 100 hospitals in India to deliver life-saving care to their patients. Dhruvʼs vision is to build Cloudphysician into a global virtual hospital.
